About Me
I’ve lived in the Reno area since 1970, and graduated from Hug High School in 19XX. I've been married for 24 years
(to the same guy!), and have 6 children, two of them human. My first is a junior in college; my second a senior in high
school; the third a proud graduate of gun dog school. The last three are minimally educated, perpetual toddlers
of the canine & feline persuasion. I hold a BS in Accounting from UNR with a minor in Applied Music-Voice, and worked as
a CPA for
many years before leaving the business world for other pursuits. Gleefully turning my back on my
lopsidedly
left-brained
lifetime, I am currently working on an AAS in graphic design, focusing mostly on web design.
When that's
completed,
I hope to pursue a master's degree in graphic design.
I work at Mtn View Montessori School as a substitute and as a resource teacher in the areas of music,
drama,
and
graphic design. For the past 13 years, I've also worked with Tahoe Players, as an
administrator, costume designer and occasional actor. I've
designed costumes for 7 of their large-scale productions, and also handle school marketing, reservations, program design, and advertising. I have appeared as Miss Hannigan in Annie,
Mrs. Darling in Peter Pan,
Fairy Godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s
Cinderella, Maizie La Bird in Seussical, and Mrs. Potts in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. |
