Aharon Williams-Project 3 final
This was a rough project to execute. I had a lot of fun and learned a ton about responsive. The site isn't perfect, but I hope you guys enjoy it. Make sure you have your headphones on because this website has some B-A-S-S. Thanks Michael and I look forward to seeing everyone in Portfolio. http://www...

Re: Project #3 - Preliminary Roughs, Donna Harn
Donna,
I like elements of both designs. I like the use of color and typography in the first layout, and I like the size and visual balance of the images in the second layout. I don't know if that helps, but both of the layouts have something good going for them. Nice work.

Mark,
I like the second set with the navy background. I would work on using different sizes for your elements to create some emphasis on your pages. Very nice start.

Re: Project 3, 1st critique. Alexey
Alexey,
The layout is very clean and the spacing is visually pleasing. I agree with Rebecca about using the logo more prominently and I also think using color to draw the eye through the page ( in the form of a footer). Nice work so far.

Rebecca,
Both of your layouts are well designed and easy to navigate. I prefer the second layout because I think the comic book layout goes really well with the imagery and I think the use of typography is really clever. Good work.

Project 3 Roughs - Aharon Williams
Here are my roughs. My artist is the music group Outkast. Andre 3000 is also a graphic artist and created the CD cover art for the group's first 5 albums. In the first set my objective is to play up the music theme for the group Outkast and use visuals to engage the user. I wanted to used that image...

Rebecca,
I think both of these designs are well thought out and help create unity with your existing site. I think that the round buttons of the first layout complement your typewriter logo better, and the layout and spacing of the elements is very pleasing to the eye. Good work.

Alexey, I like the first layout with the banners that highlight the products. The layout for both pages are very easy to navigate and use. The product banners on the first layout are too similar to your navigation. Making them smaller or even reversing the color scheme from the nav menu could help t...

Re: Project 2 Roughs - Donna Harn
Donna, I agree that both layouts have their own strengths. I agree that products need an image to accompany them, but I think that your use of the farm animal silhouettes looks great. If you could find a way to incorporate them into your layout I think it would add to the "homemade" that y...
