Re: project 1 revamp
Interesting. You've been through about four designs now and I've been having fun watching your thought process. I'll give you feedback on this set and pull in some stuff from the previous set.
Revised Designs
I like the right aligned design idea. You don't see much of that in web design yet and anything that stands out is a win in my book. The navigation is easy to follow and the content is strongly presented. I'm not sold on the teal though. The orange and yellow I can see, but I'm not following the teal.
To be honest I really liked your third design from the last thread. Full image backgrounds always look strong and they had a cleanliness about them that is lacking from these new ones and your first two designs. My problem with them was that they were very bleak. I think that would be solved by making sure the full screen background image was in color.
I would recommend going back to your previous design, but include the strong nav bar from this design and have the content layed out in semi-transparent boxes or, if the contrast is high enough, no boxes at all like in the home page on your third design.

Re: project 1 revamp
I actually liked your initial revision with the black and white. I liked how minimal that one was. I believe good design is no design. eliminate all that you can until what you have left is an actual usable design. I loved the focus on photography in that design. I would have played around somehow with selectively adding color to the overall black and white scheme. But since this is the direction you went with, I guess I just have to cry by myself. I would try to simplify what you've come up with here. eliminate those borders and simplify the amount of content elements you have going on.

I like your logo : )
It seems like a simple enough design without it being too simple and a good color scheme. I'd go for it!

Im liking the new color scheme and layout of this design. I think you should play with the phone number more in the top right corner. Also I dont think you should run the footer text over the blue bar you have running down the right side. Maybe try to develop and separate footer. And depending on the photo the white text may be hard to read maybe think about putting a transparent box behind the type to make it pop despite the photo. Other wise good job!!
Re: project 1 revamp
I like the overall look of the site. I think you do not need to box on the left as it does not seem to fit right with the new design. I would also stick with only a few colors and a few type to keep things simple. I am think you have done this, and I would play around more with some of the layout. Good job.

Re: project 1 revamp
The usage of a full image background for your previous black and white design to me is quite different and interesting.
If you're planning on putting your content on the page without any "box" around it, I would suggest setting a lower opacity of the background to make the content more legible as well as to push the background back a bit.
As for the logo, I would suggest decreasing the size a bit, because it's quite strong and bold right now, and it's making the design seems very crowded...
I think the layout we were talking in class today would work quite well...
