My Project 2 Final Website is up.....

Post by georgia_novotny »

Hi Everyone,
So I struggled with my contact form all weekend and I didn’t get my website up until now.
I had most of it done last class but decided to start tweaking it.
I kept breaking the site when I made changes to my form. Anyway…

I think overall it came out pretty good, I am happy with the look and functionality of it.
I feel it is good for my skills and I can’t wait to keep learning more and more.
I really liked doing this project and hope you like my product idea concept.

I think I created a working e commerce site that sends orders to me and contacts my email.
I know there are never ending changes that could be made.
If this was a clients website...
I would set a monthly maintenance plan to keep it up to be updated and always growing.
$$$$ LOL.

The link to the site is:

Looking forwarding to hearing what everyone thinks.
Thanks,
Georgia

Such a great theme. Always gets a smile out of me.

You've expanded your design and layout quite nicely. Good work on tweaking the shopping cart to match your brand. I really love the way the colored images pop against the black and white background. The contrast of the black and white is very appealing. I think my favorite is the set of clothes that look appropriate for a Bollywood wedding.

Just a few things I would have changed. One, I still don't think it needs all those white strokes. I think the layout works fine to encompass your content without all the borders. Two, "Submit Query" seems to dry for the site. I think a call to action like "BUY IT NOW" or "YOU KNOW YOU WANT THIS" would have worked better. Three, I'm not fond of the stock link color on the bottom of the home page. I think a pale gray would have looked better there.

So much fun. Good effort!

Your website came out wonderfully! I'm so proud and happy you did this all yourself. Great idea for a product, it's fun just sifting through all the great imagery you found! Everything functions and appears solid. My only suggestion is to play around more with that home and product page images, they just seem a little low res compared to your awesome product photos. Great job, Georgia!

Great concept! I really enjoy the products page. The size and buy buttons seem a bit generic compared to the rest of the site. A little color might help that. I feel your pain with the "build it, break it" stuff...

This is an awesome way to use duck tape! Clothes! This concept is an awesome page. I just think you need a more high resolution photo on the products page for the large image of different color duck tapes.

Georgia,

I love the concept and high fashion of making clothing out of duct tape. Really great. I saw that some of the photos that you used are a little blurry. So, if you can find any clearer photos, then it can be even greater. Great job.

Awesome stylish website, Georgia. Everything work well, fully functioning navigation throughout your web site, cool images.Only one little tiny thing I found you need to change it is the links of your button of continue shopping on your shopping car pages. They are linking to grc275.com home page, you can easily change it to home page of your url. Other then that, great work!

Hi Georgia! Your site turned out awesome! I love the concept of duck tape clothes and the designs of all the clothing are amazing & creative (nice imagery choices). The black & white color scheme goes well with all of your images and they all pop off of the page at you. I think that black backgrounds go well with bright and colorful images. I do have two suggestions for you... one, I would center all of your product images. Second, I would make your buttons a little larger and give them room to breathe. Great Job!

I really enjoyed your website.

The concept is good, and I like the photos you used in catalog pages.
I also like the black and white color scheme and your logo. Nicely done!

My only suggestion is the size of body copy. I would change it smaller.

Other than that, I like it.
Good job!
