Project 2 Roughs

Post by gr8ful1 »

Here are my roughs for project 2. Please excuse my lack of Photoshop skills for the fish bubbles. I will have to fix them before the final :)

I like project2roughFresh. I like how you have the name of each fish under each image.

I need to get a little more specific in the project instructions I think. I was looking for two product page layouts, but nothing on the project sheet says so, so you're all good.

That being said, I like your product category page very much. It's cleanly laid out and shows the fish nicely. Because of this layout it's easy to navigate and make your fish selection. It works well with your already established branding and layout. I'm also giggling that each of the fish is in a bubble. That's hilarious.

My only issue with it is the underlines on the product title text. I don't think that needs to be there. The rest of your design is clean enough and the color of your type serves well to differentiate it.

Your product listing page, on the other hand, looks a little crowded. The type looks fine. No need to crunch the fish facts type in your left column. Or distort your title text to make everything fit. You also don't need the checkbox on your form. A simple "buy it now" button will work. The only additional form element that might be needed is a quantity text box. I think with a little cleanup and less distortion, it'll look really good.

I like where you are going with these.

I really like the way you've designed your product pages. Colors, fonts and layouts are all appealing. I want to go shopping for some fish!

Your colors really pop! They're creating really nice contrast. I love the way your site is coming along. Great job so far!

I really like how you're using the bubbles as a visual element to separate your different types of fish.
