Project02 Prelim

Hi, everyone

As project 1 continues to prove, coding intricate designs as a beginner is not my strong suit. I decided to go a lot more simple with Project 2, as we'll be making some heavier coding decisions. I am leaning towards layout one more.

Hey Emily,

I like both of your layouts but I think that I am leaning more towards your first one. I like the colors and pictures you have used. but I think I like the menu more on the other one with it connected to the left side. also just a selection the text on the picture maybe add a black square and lower the opacity so it is easier to read I look forward to what you will make for your final!!

Hey Emily,
Great work on these designs! I think both of the layouts could result in a great website. I do think your second design would benefit from some color in there to help the site pop out and catch the user's eye. Something like a background color and it complimentary color used in the headline and graphic elements could really make that design pop.

I think the layout of your web design is really well organized. I also think your logo is really pretty and cool. This is my personal opinion. For the mobile version of the web design, are you thinking of adding colors later? I think you can add purple like the first design!

Hi Emily,
An all female drum and bugle corps! Love the concept. I know you’re leaning towards your first layout, but I personally think that your second layout is much more interesting than your first one. It’s a really strong and interesting layout that is only missing some color to really tie everything together. I think you can keep the white background, but I would add some color on the titles and links. Either layout is strong and effective, so whatever you decide on will work really well. Great job!

Your websites are well organized, but I think the designs are a bit simple. I think you could do more to add texture or some more graphical elements to make people more interested in your site. Otherwise, though, I think this is a really strong start.

Hi Emily!
The designs are working so well! The type choices are very well done and I feel add to the vibe of your company. In my opinion, the first layout is super strong. The use of imagery and the supporting color purple really adds a cohesive lively feel to the website. I think the only thing I might suggest is making the type over the image white to create a negative space effect? It might help with some readability, especially if the picture is dimmed a bit, but that's just some nitpicking of the design. I can't wait to see the final!

Hi Emily,
Both your design look really good and both have great navigation, nothing is hard to find which is good. Out of your two layouts I like your first ones a bit more with the drummer background image, its a little more eye catching than your other layout. I like how your have layer on top of the picture to where you can see through but it also helps with being able to read the text. Great job
