Project01_Final

Post by Melissa_Sanchez »

Hi Everyone,

this is my final website. I am happier with the designs of the website pages compared to the ones from the first critique, I think they are more cheerful and I enjoyed adding more Illustrative elements. I know the navigation links are not the same size and I think it must have been when I was saving them as transparent png files to create rollover images, I must not have put them in the right placement/size. Anyways I think I was able to learn more about coding because of this project.

Melissa, a lot of the responsive resizing is working.
Missing alt tags, metatag keywords/description.
I love the about dragon image.

Hi Melissa,
I like that you have the word gallery sideways on your gallery page, itโ€™s a fun touch to the design.
There are a couple pages where it looks like there is supposed to be something on the bottom, but it gets cut off, so you might want to check and make sure all your artwork is visible.
Looks great!

Hey Melissa,
Love, love, LOVE the graphics that you created for your website! It absolutely ties in everything together and wonderfully reflects the artistic ingenuity behind Miyazaki's collection of work. I also really enjoy how each page has their own individually-drawn graphics--it makes it all the more fun to go through your site just to see what will be waiting on the very next page. I also do like the possibility that you coded in to flip to-and-fro between the subpages in the gallery without having to use usual method of clicking the back arrow button. It's surprisingly super convenient and extremely efficient to incorporate in that you definitely inspired me to consider it the next time around for Project 02 or 03 :) ! Moving on, my only concerns that I have with your site is just your formatting, the responsiveness is good but I would love to have seen the background images/visuals resize and adjust to the window's new shape as well. But besides that, everything else is perfect and well :D !

Hi Melissa,
I love your contact page! I think that a lot of us struggled with a contact page that was both cohesive and representative of the artist of our choice, but you really did Hayao Miyakazi justice even in your contact page. The only thing I have to say is that a lot of your important imagery gets lost at smaller sizes, so just working with the responsiveness of your images would make it perfect. Overall, great job!

Melissa!!

This looks absolutely adorable and really captures the man the myth the legend. It was said before but it gets a little lost in smaller sizes but aside from that it looks absolutely adorable and I love it dearly.
Thanks,

Melissa,

I love the website. The elements in the background with the characters creates a fun vibe and a visually engaging layout. I think you definitely represented the artist well. But there were some coding errors and I know it's hard!
