Project 3 Preliminary

Post by LMisher »

Hello All!

I chose to build a website on a event that is very meaningful to my community, and has now become a nationally celebrated holiday. What is it, you might ask? Juneteenth! For more information, stay tuned!

Hi I like your second set of designs! I think the logo pops out more and does not camouflage with the background like in the first set of designs. It would be cool if when you hover over the nav bar links each one is a different color like the different colors on your logo type.

Hi! I prefer the set of designs with the photograph on the background. It seems more personal interesting that way! Overall, I love the colors and font usage you've done so far

LaTara, What a remarkable logo! Thank you for putting up such great preliminary. I like both ideas but prefer the first idea because I enjoy the warm community it feels like. And this is a great way of disucssing the importance of people caring for each other, which is one significant meaning of this date. If you use the green background for text boxes, could you make those with zero or low opacity so we can see the background images? I do like the alternate lettered texts for logo, but if you decide to use that, I am not sure I understand the meaning of breaking the t from the eenth. I am looking forward to a great site.
If we feel useful in life and loved, it sure makes life significant and wonderful

Hi! I think the image on the background helps to create an interesting look to your design. I think it'd be cool if you played around with the text colors just to see how they look.

Hi LaTara!

I love this! The first one with the black is very clean and makes it seem a lot more serious while still having a fun pop to it with the fun script! I do think the black background just works better because that green is one where colors tend to vibrate instead of working together.

Percy!!
Thanks,
