I would love to say that I had a brilliant flash of inspiration for my product choice, but the truth is I was laying on the couch staring at the ceiling coming up with nothing when suddenly.... there it was!
the first design is pretty much inspired by the text book. I tried to break it down to only the essential elements and make it as simple to use as possible while retaining a website look.
The second one was based on the logo. I still am just guessing when it comes to font selection, I would like to develop a better instinct for that

Wow, Mark! Both are amazing. Very clean, nothing extra, interesting logo. Have nothing to add. 11 out of 10 =)

I am leaning towards the first design. I feel the first is easier to navigate and creates a clean and crisp look. Nice work!

Mark,
The first layout is very strong and works well with the logo. The green is a little close in value to the white type so you might think about shading one or the other to create a little more contrast. Nice work.

Hi Mark,
I like the second design. I think it may be the textured background giving a bit more visual interest and then the contrasting purple. It's nice. Good work.

Nice logo! I especially like it in the first concept, which I'm also favoring overall. The first word that comes to mind is "clean" and I think it fits with your single-product focus on fans. Fans ARE greener than jacking up the AC to cool the entire house, so I think your green color scheme is subtly tapping into the environmental aspect (for me at least). I'd stay with sans-serif fonts, but other than that, I think you could get one with a tad more personality. The audience should remember your company over others, so even if you're going super simple and modern, try to add some touch that makes the website unique to the company. I'd look at some high-end retailer websites for inspiration. They really know how to pull off classy and uncluttered.

Oh, high end fans. Very nice indeed.
I really like your first design. A very clean layout that's easy to follow and navigate. It nicely echoes your logo, which is, itself, a fun play on the name. The faint drop shadow adds that last little touch of detail that helps class up and professionalize the design. It feels very "real" to me. By that, I mean a website that I might encounter in the real world.
My big issue with it is the rather bright green color. It really clashes with the simple, clean aesthetic you have going on and jars with these nice images of metallic, warm, well styled, expensive fans.
My suggestion is to look at some interior decor shots and take inspiration from them. I think the site would look really good in a bright pastel of some sort. Perhaps even have a different bright pastel for each page, so users would know where they are at a glance. You might want to look at some sort of textured wall pattern for the pastel background, like you've done on your second design.
Here's a few photos to Illustrate what I'm thinking about:
Otherwise, a really great layout and design. Good work!
