Hey Isaac,
I'm really digging the first design and how closely it resembles Saul Bass's designs. The hierarchy is also really good in the first set and it flows really well. I do like the layout of your gallery in your second design and hope something like that can be converted in your first design style.

Definitely go with the first design. I like the fonts and colors.

Isaac, I really appreciate the concept of a website looking like Saul Bass posters. Putting some other visual interests in will move it to be visually exciting.
All caps does not do it for me for Navigation links. I like the bold introduction stylized header font.
