Lingling's Project 2 final

Post by lingling_chen »

Hi, everyone
It's Lingling, here's what I have for my project two final. My Url is http://www.grc275.com/student/spring_20 ... ling_chen/.(Finally my files got updated in Lingling_chen folder on server: )
My goal for this project is to make my project one works better. Add drop down menu on my product for five product lines: 1.Career High Heel, 2.Casual Flats, 3. High Top Canvas, 4. Low Top Canvas,5. Slip-On shoes. I changed my side categories to a coming soon Ad for the links of new products of Silk Scarf, Skirt etc. Redesigning and make my shopping carts and contact pages functional. Drop-down menu, buttons, and links are working well: ), but I don't have time to change the right fronts, and make the details work even better yet, hopefully I can upload the better version to the server soon:). I am completely exhausted now. I hope you like it, and please feel free to leave your comments. Thank you and good luck on yours : )

I really like this site. It is nice and simple but draws you into it. I like the use of your colors as well.

Hi LingLing!! Awesome job on your site once again girl! Congrats on getting it accomplished too! I can tell that you put a lot of time and effort into it. I love your slideshow on your homepage it adds character and attracts customers to your products. Nice touch! :-) I'm curious on how you accomplished it...I would love to add that to my project #3. Your layout turned out great! It is easy to navigate through, I could find all of your products for sale, and most important the webdesign that you created is beautiful once again. Your site looks and feels professional, elegant, and welcoming. One suggestion that I have for you is to capitalize the "hand-painted" and any other words in your product pages...I think it will balance out your page titles more. Other than that perfect-o! :)

Hi Lingling,
I really like your website layout, color scheme and style for your concept.
I think it looks very professional.
I think the logo looks great with the style of the products your selling.
Very animated in character :)

I would change the size of the body text and text in certain areas.
Its kind of small and feels crapped when your reading it especially on the about page.
The navigation bar is too small and needs to be larger for readability.

Good job!

Nice improvement on your Project One, Lingling.

I like the strong, bold colors and high contrast. Everything is cleanly laid out and easily found. For all of it's bright colors, it has a solid structure that is well contained. Generally good margins and padding throughout. The navigation is easy to use and well placed. The home page slideshow is a nice touch. I like the way you blended your cart with your design and logo. Good work with the embedded map on the contact page (TMCC Fashion Design? lol). And the form works.

Only a couple of issues stand out. The navigation is a little small. A couple of sizes larger would make sure it doesn't get drowned out by the layout and colorscheme. I also don't care for the white matte around your logo though. There seems to be a little bit of white here and there, rather than a true stroke. I'd take it out completely. Also your buttons under your products seem a bit crowded.

Great work!

You did such a great job with this! I love how all your website seems so sleek and smooth and shiny! I really enjoy the colors you chose, I'm not sure how green relates back to shoes, but it somehow works for me. I'm also really enjoying all your fun imagery, they give your website this very carefree and playful feel. My only issue is with your product names. I'm not sure why you included and underscore with each name, it's not really necessary. But other than that, it's awesome!

Hi Lingling! Your site is beautiful! Navigation is easy and the welcome page is very cool. The only critique that I have is on the "About" page. I have a hard time staying focused on that big paragraph. Consider breaking into two paragraphs to give the reader a break. Great job!

It turned out great Lingling! I love the colors of your site and all the cute costume items! Will be awesome when you add more items to fill in the space for more products.

Very well done, Lingling.

The colors are really the key seller and the catalog is really spot on. Great job.
