Project02 Prelim

Post by kristenrothbauer »

Hi Everyone,
For my project 02 I decided to make a jam and honey company. I definitely like my blue design more than the pink and green, but I'd love feedback on how to make either better! I included one about page for one set and one shop page for the other, because I wanted to see how my mock-up items would look on the page : )

Hey Kris,

I love both of your layouts they have very strong visual hierarchy. but I think that I am leaning more towards your first one I really like the color and textures you put in through the subheads and the banners on the sides of your pages. your logo is also really cool and I think it matched what product you are selling. I am excited to see what it will look like for the final!!

Hi Kristen
I agree with you that the first design is stronger. The plaid background really adds to the whole Farm Fresh jam vibe you have going. I really like your font choice as well, it is a good balance of modern and organic feeling. The only think I might change would be having the link titles in your navigation be a bit bigger and also changing the on hover to be opposite, white buttons that turn grey when you hover. Overall, solid designs here.

Hello Kristen,

I think your web design is well made. I think both designs are really pretty! I really like the first design. I think the images go well with the checkered background. This is my personal opinion. I think the gray background looks good on you even if you switch to another color or checkered pattern!

Hello Kristen,

First off, let me just say WOW!
I am really digging both of your website choices. The colors are great and the graphics are really cool. The navigation is good and user-friendly, so you are off to a great start. The only thing that you are missing are the thumbnails and other background work to show us your thought process from start to finish. Well done.

Hi Kristen,

I love both concepts, especially your choice of typography. It feels very organic, which is perfect for your jam and honey company. I like the blue color scheme a bit more. That picnic background feels a lot friendlier and more local-based. I would just add an extra detail(maybe in red) to the call to action of "order now" to make you want to click it right away. Overall, great work! I'm excited to see the end product.

The layout is beautiful! the buttons on the top look really nice and help to keep the page organized. In my opion the text seems stretched out, unless that's what you're going for. Maybe play around with the type.
