Project 03 Prelim (Late)

Hi! For my event, I chose The Great Reno Balloon Races. It's been a part of my life since I was a child and frankly, I am not a big event person so here it is! I went for something very simple for prelim but looking to make it a little more interesting!

I like the vibe you've got going. I like the logo with the simple yellow, red, and blue balloons, that pallet will be fun to work with throughout the website I also like the font you're planning on using!

Hey Percy,
Great choice on choosing the "Great" Balloon race here in Reno ! This event always surprises me whenever it happens since I originally came from California a couple of years back and still am unfamiliar with its history, so I am really looking forward to reading about it on your site once its all finished! I think a neat feature to include on your website is to have an extra page dedicated just to people's experiences from past races to provide new visitors an idea of how fun the event will be. You could even include your own experiences as well since you had mentioned knowing the event from your childhood.

Moving past that, one of the pros about your design that I like is how the date sits boldly right underneath the event's title on the home page--it's really direct to the point and stands out nicely against the stunning background image. Another detail that I enjoyed was the design of the logo and how it uses the primary colors. The only thing I found that you could improve on would be to incorporate your color scheme a little bit more on your other pages, such as on the gallery page since it feels unfinished due to the background being completely white. But besides than that, I can already envision what your final concept will look like and again, am really looking forward to it! Good work so far !

This looks great! I feel like it really fits the Vibe of the Balloon Races. I think the first design is my favorite, but both are great. If you choose the Second design I would mix in some more color. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I think your web design idea is really good. I think your web design is neat and clean. I also think your web design layout is well placed. I think the layout of the images is neatly placed, too. Your web design is really comfortable to look at. I've never been to Great Reno Balloon Races while living in Reno. Thank you for introducing me to a really special event!
