For project one does it have to be a "product" I'm selling with my company or can it be a service? For example, let's just say I have a photography business and I'm trying to sell my services as a professional photographer. Would this work for project one?

It has to be some physical product or something that can be broken down into specific units, whether physical or otherwise. You'll be turning this thing into a for realz e-commerce site for Project Two.
