Brian Wells is currently a Professor of Graphic Communications at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada. Brian earned a B. S. at Portland State University, attended the prestigious California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where he studied Character Animation and a M.F.A. at UCLAs School of Theatre, Film and Television. He has taught for 15+ years in higher education.
Brian's Hollywood experience in animation includes Character Layout Artist (Key Pose Animatior) on "The Simpsons" and Assistant Director and Timing Director at the "Ren and Stimpy" creator's studio, "Spumco."
Classes taught by Brian include, Rendering and Illustration, Digital imaging, Storyboarding, Basic Principles of Animation, Advanced 2-D Animation, 3-D Modeling and Animation, Digital Video Production, and Digital Moviemaking and Special Effects.
On a more personal note, Brian loves the outdoors! Brian, his wife and son, roam the Pacific Northwest and Great Basin’s mountains and watersheds, fly fishing for elusive wild trout. He recently purchased a 20 acre Placer gold mine. Spending clean, quality time with his wife and son, clearing trails and searching for gold.
