Project 01 Final

Post by Ashton_H »

Hello everyone,

here is my website for my favorite band LOATHE, I love their music so I wanted to do justice to their website and not mess it up, but it ended up taking longer than expected. I also just decided to go with a home and next link for each page as I felt doing 6 links for each page would just be too complicated, it sucks that the navigation is more simplistic but I thought I'd spare myself from the headache. Anyways, here is my website hopefully it works and you guys like it

Hey Ashton,
Good work on this site. I really like the Cold Sun page. I think the use of the black and red creates a very visually interesting page. I do think if you could bring this style to your other pages maybe even using different colors for each page plus black you could create a more cohesive website.

Hi Ashton,

Good work on the site! I know just what you mean by it taking longer to code for than originally planned since I was in the same boat for this project. There are some issues with formatting whereas even making the website fullscreen somehow condenses or squashes the page buttons over the visuals. Especially on the right side that makes the type overlap on top of each other. But I do like how you created a "Next" button to still make it possible to go through the rest of the pages than having to go back to the home page and cycle through again. I'll definitely be considering incorporating that same function into my following sites as well, with due credit of course ;) ! But other than that fixing the formatting/sizing issues would be my only concern. Again, good work and effort on this project :D can't wait to see the next!

Hi Ashton,

This looks great! I love the minimalism of everything, you did a great job still making it intriguing. The use of only a couple colors and a bold font makes the website look bold. I think the "next" buttons are a bit confusing, as the website isn't (at least to me) set up linear. Great work!

Hi Ashton, I like your choice on keeping your background white with black text. Font choices are good too. I also like the 'next' button. I just wish you also have 'back' button too. I think it would make navigate through the site easier. Good job!

Hi Ashton,
I have to say that my favorite pages in your website are the “The Cold Sun,” and “Prepare Consume Proceed,” pages. The design is super solid and clean. I looked at your code through chrome browser and I think that for our next project you should separate your html from your css. It makes it so much easier to make changes across your site so you don’t have to edit each page separately, especially when it comes to the nav bar. Your 'home' and 'next' buttons shift slightly and one of the buttons disappears entirely on the last page. Separating your html and css would help with that. Great job!

Hi Ashton!

I love how this looks it's so clean and cutthroat in a really cool eye catching way? It's so sick. The home pages gets a little skewed on my phone and iPad but aside from that it looks absolutely amazing!
Thanks,

Ashton,

I like the layout of your website. How the pictures are layed out on the page is creative like with the iliate page. I like the choices of color and fonts. The biggest problem is with the text on the home page being broken.

Ashton, I like that you got the responsive resizing working 90%
(it is the Home/Next that are not resizing).
Missing: Critiques, alt tags, metatag keywords, Contact page, If there is a gallery page, perhaps I am unclear which it is but there was to be a gallery page and TWO subpages on that gallery page. I would like all of the home page to fit my user screen without scrolling down.
I like the breathing space/white space you are giving on the home page
If we feel useful in life and loved, it sure makes life significant and wonderful
