Project Two Roughs
Project Two Roughs
Here are my roughs for the Photography site. I've taken all of the effects off of the logo and think I will be going with two gallery pages that will offer individual themes. I'm also considering resizing the logo just a bit, making smaller to allow a more uniform workspace below it. I have a long way to go on this.... Have a great break everyone!!

The first pg. looks the best. the green boxes around the names makes it hard to read.

Hi Paula! Nice job on both of your roughs girlfriend! They are easy to navigate through & the images that you chose are beautiful, especially the birds..love it! (I personally love and think photography websites look great with a black background because the photos stand out more). One thing I would suggestion is what you already said...making the logo a little smaller so you have more room to work with and one other thing that I would suggest to you is to maybe make your navigation a little bigger after your change the logo. Otherwise, great job!

Hi,Paula
I like your birds photos.Your design is very clean and clear. My suggestion to you is putting more product details on your products, the sample for your rough is your bird page. You can add shopping car and the price below each of the bird images. Nice job: )

Really nice photo gallery pages I like the idea of separating the photography by categories, looks nice, clean and easy to navigate. I agree with your idea of making the logo a bit smaller it is kind of big.

Nice work, Paula.
I like your first one a little bit better. The larger white type provides a nice contrast against the black even if the characters are thinner. The type manages not to overwhelm the photos either. The photos are well placed and stand out well against the black. I also like the cleaner, simpler logo.
I concur with your thoughts on the logo. Having a smaller logo on the inner pages will give you more room for various content. I'd also tighten the navigation vertically up toward your page title.
Good on ya'.

Those adjustments to the logo were very nice! Everything immediately feels more smooth. I also like that you have so many categories with multiple photos within, it gives everything a very professional feel. If I would change something about it, I'd consider changing the main categories page to just a list format with some nifty, stylized fonts, instead of the photos. Because right now the only issue I'm getting - and it's only a minor one - is that the two pages are so similar. Or maybe try playing around with that idea. Overall, good work!

I do like the top one with the white text. goes with your website better. Maybe try to put a lightbox thingy in their make it a little more interactive??

I suggest going with the top design the white type looks good and is easier to read. I know it's hard especially with photos but if you could find a way to make them all the same size for the gallery portion even if the actual photo is larger than that. I think it would give it better visual appeal and tighter organization.

Hi Paula,
It may be because the green buttons match the color palettes of your photos, but I'm really liking the second concept. Those buttons echo the logo in a sense, and they're clearly visible against what is otherwise a dark background where elements can easily get lost and blend in. If you can just make those buttons a bit bigger and a tiny bit more padding, I'd say you're good to go.
