In this scenario an accident in space sends you (an astronaut) to a planet inhabited entirely by large talking apes with rifles.  Although there are humans, they are primitive beings who have no organized society.  As a human you are discriminated against, thrown in a cage and treated like an animal.  Following an uprising that ultimately ends in your escape you discover that the planet is actually a future Earth where men have destroyed themselves making the apes the new dominant species.
